Abstract Large complex aluminum alloy structural parts are used more and more widely. As an important component of the high-speed train, the fatigue strength performance of corbel is extremely important. In this paper, the corbel component of EUM is taken as the object of study. The operation state of the corbel during the operation of EUM is analyzed to determine the boundary conditions, load position and load size under independent corbel conditions and the finite element analysis is carried out. The results of the finite element analysis of the independent corbel with the reference point in the same working condition are compared with the results in the vehicle environment. According to the comparison results, the corbel fatigue test is designed. The reliability evaluation of the fatigue life of the corbel is significant for the safe operation of the EMU. This paper mainly evaluates the life reliability of weld of corbel with high stress, taking full account of the multiple-site damage and the multiple effects of the load. Results of reliability evaluation have a certain guiding significance.
