Hazard Rate Model Considering Various Factors for Mobile Clouds

Abstract The cloud software and database software are of- ten used in mobile cloud environment, e.g., Hadoop, NoSQL, OpenStack, and Eucalyptus. Then, it is nec- essary to grasp the situation of installer software in cloud software, the network traffic, the renewal rate of data, and the software installed in mobile devices. In this paper, we propose the method of reliabil- ity assessment considering the environment of mo- bile clouds. Then, we propose the hazard rate model considering both the changing rate of network traffic and the renewal rate of data for the operating envi- ronment of mobile clouds. Moreover, we show several numerical examples of reliability assessment by using actual data.
