Abstract In this study, bibliometric and social network analysis techniques are used to investigate the intellectual pillars of the educational management literatures. With citation data of SSCI. By analyzing 209,143 citations of 5,187 articles published in SSCI journal in web services area from 2003 to 2012. This study used citation and co-citation analysis to identify the most important publications, scholars, and research themes in educational management and quality area, and then mapped the intellectual structure of the studies. The results help to profile the invisible network of knowledge production in educational management and quality and provide important insights and implications on current and future research paradigms of educational management and quality studies for management scholars and practitioners.
