Reliability Calculations of Square and Cube Redundant Systems | ||||

Abstract | This paper considers square and cube redundant systems with 12 units and obtains their reliabilities, making tables of each unit with two states of on and off. MTTF, failure rate, median and complexity of two systems are computed explicitly and numerically. Furthermore, these results are applied to age replacement and optimal policies are derived. With the advancement of information and technology, objective systems have grown in size, complexity, randomness and vastness, methods and tools obtained in this paper would be useful and effective for designing and analyzing such systems.
