Abstract | Several researchers have proposed software reliability growth models (SRGM) possessing one or more changepoint as a method to characterize the failure data collected during software testing. These models can implicitly capture the impact of various factors that may have affected the fault detection process. Given the complexity of the software testing process and the data produced by such testing, many researchers have studied changepoint models and continue to develop related methods. This paper presents a brief survey of the previous research on SRGM possessing one or more changepoint and can serve as the basis for researchers and graduate students to understand the past research and its limitations.
