Abstract The purpose of this paper is to map the research between relationship and quality and to investigate the key concepts, themes, and their relationship of literatures in the past decade. In this study, bibliometric and social network analysis techniques are used to investigate the intellectual pillars of the literatures about relationship and quality. By analyzing 85,034 citations of 1,995 articles published in SSCI journal in relationship and quality area between 2007 and 2012. The results of the mapping can help identify the research direction of relationship and quality research and provide a valuable tool for researchers to access the literature in this area.
