Abstract We observe a phenomenon that probabilistic and statistical nature of software failure-occurrence timeinterval changes notably in an actual testing-phase in a software development process. Testing-time when such phenomenon is observed is ordinarily called changepoint. This phenomenon is treated as one of the factors affecting the accuracy of the reliability assessment based on a software reliability growth model. In this paper, we develop a bivariate SRGM considering with uncertainty of testing-environment, in which the reliability growth factor consists of testing-time and testing-effort factors. Finally we show numerical examples of our model by using actual data.
